Start of an Adventure

Greetings, and welcome to my first ever blog.  It’s good to have you along for the ride.

I’m going to write once a fortnight – or thereabouts – on something from the world of the Alexander Technique.  I’m not following any set course, or pre-planned order.  I’m getting my inspiration from the things that happen during the week, what I read, teach or find out for myself.  It’s an adventure for me, as well as for you.

Some articles will be aimed at students, some at teachers, some at complete beginners.  But I’m not going to tell you which are which.  That way, you can read them all with an open mind.

You see, in this work you never know when a word or a phrase will strike home.  You never know when the process of meeting an old idea coming from a new direction will set off a chain of enlightenment and understanding.

What I can promise is that the blogs will be lively, entertaining and thought-provoking.  And short.

Fasten your seat belts, and let the adventure begin.

Karen

ps. If you are new to the world of blogging, here are some of the basics:-

BLOG = a diary or series of articles published on the internet, usually quite short and informal

My most recent blog will be on my main website (www.ashbyalexandertechnique.co.uk)

All my blogs, new and old are on https://ashbyalexandertechnique.wordpress.com/.  This is a separate website, and looks just a little different from my main site, but you can easily get from one to the other.   You can look up my old blogs there any time you like.

You can also get the latest blog sent to your email inbasket when I publish it.  I promise not to use your email for any other purpose.

  • Go to https://ashbyalexandertechnique.wordpress.com/
  • Put your email id in the box under “Follow blog by email”
  • Click on “follow” (this part is so I know who you are)
  • You will get an email in your inbasket that gives you a link.
  • Click on that link (this part is to make sure you aren’t a robot with nefarious purposes)
  • Enjoy the blogs
